Reference 5167A (steel)

The launch of reference 5167A marked the tenth anniversary of the Aquanaut. It featured an updated 324 SC caliber and a new dial design. It can either be ordered with an integrated black rubber strap (ref. 5167A-001) or with a steel bracelet (ref. 5167/1A) . Launched alongside the 5165A in 2007, reference 5167A is a slightly scaled up version with more modern dimensions (40.8mm diameter compared to 38.8mm for the 5065 and 5165).

While reference 5167A features only superluminova dial and hands, we’ve come across a few different evolutions over the years:

  1. Movement with Geneva seal (2007-2009)

  2. Movement with Patek seal (2009-present)

  3. Lime green superluminova lume (2007-2018)

  4. White superluminova lume (2019-present)

An additional dial variation is the 5167A with Tiffany signature on the dial, which is only featured on watches sold by Tiffany & Co in New York. These are quite rare and very sought after by collectors these days.

However, the rarest and most sought after variation is the 5167A-010 with green dial. It is believed that less than 10 were produced around 2010/2011 as special orders for good clients.

In late 2019, Patek also released a limited edition of 500 pieces for the Singapore Grand Exhibition. This variant features a red rubber strap and hints of red on the dial and hands.

Reference 5167R (rose gold)

Reference 5167R was launched in 2009. It retained the key design features of the 5167A but with rose gold case, brown dial and brown rubber strap (rose gold bracelets are not available for this version).
